Of Causes and Passion, A Nonsensical Rant of Conse

I recently acquired the movie Across the Universe as a Valentine's Day gift. I watched it with my parents last night who of course loved it and was very excited. Anyway, the movie really moves me and gets me caught up in all of this emotional turmoil, and it makes me think. And the conclusion that I came to it that, at least right now in my life, I'm destined to be average. To be the guy in the office working a nine-to-five shift to earn seven bucks an hour. This makes me deeply distressed because I never want this to happen to me, ever. But as I was examining this conclusion, I found the reason for it (logic in reverse is great). I have no cause. None whatsoever. There is nothing that moves me so deeply, nor inspires me in such a profound way as the radical movement did for people in the 60's. With this lack of cause I have found myself with a lack of passion. This lack of passion will cause me to become average. Have things become to sterile and pretty to inspire a passion in me for a cause? I think so, at least in Kentucky. This I have decided that I am getting out of Kentucky. I have to, to find myself and what I was made to do. Kentucky is just to boring. And through this argument I have found that I don't want a perfect world, I'm almost afraid to go to heaven, for fear that I would be bored to tears. This is because without conflict I have no cause, no reason to live. Everything makes sense to me now, it's just to bad that I have so long before I grow up and find a cause and become a passionate adult and not a bland little child.
This was originally posted on my livejournal, but I thought I'd share it here. Hope you all can make sense of it, because I'm sure it only makes sense to me as of now.
